Warm/Cool cowl in English

Cowl is knitted inside out and is turned around after knitting.
Therefore you have wrong side up while knitting. Of course you
can use cowl either side out, other side looks like general ribbing,
while in other there are purled rows to decorate it.

Yarn: SWTC Bamboo (100% bamboo) 1 ball (100g)
Needles: 3mm 40cm (16 inch) circular or set of 5 dpns

CO 75 s. Join round, careful not to twist.

Begin pattern 1:
Rnds 1 and 2: * K2, P1 * rep around
Rnd 3: K

Repeat pattern 1 five times. Next knit only rounds 1 and
2. Next round will be increase round.

Increases: * K2, inc1, K1 * rep around.

Begin pattern 2:
Rnds 1 and 2: * K2, P2 * rep around
Rnd 3: K

Repeat pattern 2 10 times. Next knit only rounds 1 and 2. Next round you'll do increases again.

Increases: * K2, inc1, K2 * rep around.

Begin pattern 3:
Rnds 1 and 2: * K2, P3 * rep around
Rnd 3: K

Repeat pattern 3 10 times. Next time you'll get to
do some increasing, so knit only rnds 1 and 2.

Increases: * K2, inc1, K3 * rep around.

Begin pattern 4:
Rnds 1 and 2: * K2, P4 * rep around
Rnd 3: K

Repeat pattern 10 times. Purl one rnd, knit one rnd and BO purling. Weave in ends and turn cowl around. Soak and let dry flat if you wish, this really doesn't ask for blocking.
